left click to shoot
the powerups are 5 seconds long and do different things:
red gives you +1 HP
green is a speed boost
blue gives you a shield
yellow give you a small melee attack (everything that comes close gets damaged)

fits the theme and is super satisfying, nice :)
Played it two more times, now I realize the game ends when the boss dies, not when all the the enemies are dead. that was confusing. you should make 50 more levels, I would play them all. I like how the gun fires as fast as the mouse will click. That makes me feel firepower. The sound effects are good. This is a fun game. Make it longer so I can play!!!
Wow Im glad i played this despite the shitty thumbnail lol. its really fun. the boss guy glitched out on me and i won instantly, but other than that this is super fun. you gotta build this out!!!
